Real Estate is about Action
Today, during our weekly meeting we were honored to have Coach Joe come in and give a lecture. Four key points were mentioned in his lecture - Knowledge, Skill, Attitude and Action. Action was the resounding winner in the lecture and obviously I embraced this.
While it is evident that all Real Estate professionals need to have Knowledge and Skill, without Action it is difficult for the most experienced professional to progress in our industry. Action in Coach Joe's mind differs a bit from mine, but there are similarities.
Coach Joe stresses the need of contact through telephone, email, snail mail and face to face. He actually frowned a bit about internet marketing means such as blogging which I totally disagreed with - thus the difference in our methodology. I place alot of my 'action' to blogging and to internet marketing to garner leads. While we certainly make every effort to make contact via email, phone and face to face with potential leads, we capture more leads through internet marketing and allowing potential clients to get to know us through our various blogs.
As the internet is the wave of the future - those who frown upon it are missing the boat per say in my opinion. 90% or better of those looking to buy or sell Real Estate search the internet. I, like many of you want them to know that we are here to assist them in the Clarksville area.
Coach Joe stressed the importance of staying in touch with past clients, which I also agree is very important. Real Estate is as much about your sphere of influence and building quality relationships as it is about the sale. Without your ability to provide a quality Real Estate experience for your customers you will quickly find yourself sitting there scratching your head in wonderment.
Most understand this concept and understand that it IS more than a sale and strive to give their clients the absolute best service possible in hope that they will be remembered and referred to others. Through staying in touch with past clients, you keep you name at the top of their minds and if you were professional and the experience was a positive one, your past client will pass this along to family and friends. Sometimes your Actions speak louder than words.
